Marcia has been a lawyer since 1979 and is an experienced divorce and family law attorney and mediator. She has undergraduate degrees in psychology and English and earned her law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1978.
She has three grown children and has experienced divorce herself, so she has an understanding of the divorce process, both personally and professionally.
Additionally, Marcia is a trained family law mediator and an Early Neutral Evaluator, both FENE (financial issues) and SENE (custody and parenting time issues). She has a firm belief that resolving family law issues out of the courtroom is is the best for almost all couples going through a divorce. The court system can be significantly financially and emotionally draining.
Marcia is a former Carver County Attorney and one of the first two women to hold the position of County Attorney in the State of Minnesota.
Marcia uses her experience and expertise to assist couples going through a divorce to do so in a way that is less adversarial and less emotionally and financially draining.
